Is Topsy Turvy in the House?
May 5, 2010 Gary BowlesWe are still less than 30 games into the 2010 baseball season, but things ain’t what they used to be. Some familiar logos sit below .500, while a lesser known small market team the Tampa Bay Rays has the best record.
Whats a fan to do? As we always say up until September, “its a loooong season there is plenty of baseball still to be played.” Those words are what many are holding their hopes on. Teams like the Boston Red Sox, LA Angeles of Anaheim, Los Angeles Dodgers are just a shell of their recent selves.
These MAJOR market teams are playing like baseball just arrived in town and someone forgot to tell them they were playing. Then again, one thing is for sure unless you are the New York Yankees and the payroll is meaningless to you, every team struggles from time to time.
Still, seeing the ineptitude that some of these teams seem to be living with is quite alarming…
Consider this, Barry Zito is 5-0. Need I say anymore about this crazy season?
Til later,
Gary B.
