August 3, 2010 Gary BowlesWith 2/3rds of the 2010 MLB season complete the Los Angeles Dodgers find themselves near the bottom of the National League West. The season of promise has so far turned into the season of disappointments.
The Dodgers are currently only two games over .500 with a record of 54-52 and are struggling to generate consistent offense. Star slugger Manny Ramirez is still on the DL and talks of the Dodgers putting Ramirez on waivers continue to heat up.
Losers of 7 out of their last 10 games, many of which came against the division leading San Diego Padres, the Dodgers were in prime position to make a move over this last week. As of this date they are a season high 9 games out of first place.
Many would take this opportunity to say “turn out the lights, the party’s over”. What are your thoughts on how this season has turned out and what does the future hold for this storied franchise?
